Procedure: Read one of the books together. Take time to talk about the life cycle and the student’s experiences with plants and animals growing and maturing. Ask questions throughout the process and see what the student understands from everyday life. When you are finished reading the book, find the corresponding life cycle worksheet and have the student illustrate. This can either be made into a small booklet when stapled, or cut out and put into a life cycle chart in a circular shape. The same experience can be duplicated with the other text and worksheet. Choose a vocabulary activity to reinforce meaning.
